Lucky Star
Celestial Treasures

June 26, 2009

If you're taking a stroll in Coconut Grove (or in this Miami Summer heat, pulling up in your air-conditioned ride), be sure to swing by Celestial Treasures. Tucked away in a cute plaza on Main Highway (3444 Main Highway to be exact), the store includes all the, well, treasures to get your chi in order including essential oils, books, sweet-smelling incense and even spiritual cleansings. You'll also find our "Blue Jean Buddha" tee by artist Karla Echeverria featuring our four Noble Truths: we are all here to do our thing; the world and its people inspire me;  my energy manifests my destiny; being me is my truth. This shirt will make you happy. We promise.

A Natural Fit

May 15, 2009
Miami's Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden is a gorgeous haven of plants and trees that offers an ideal way to break away from the hustle and bustle of our little metropolitan madhouse. Besides being one of our favorite destinations, FTBG is now one of our retail partners. Swing by their vistor center and retail store for a plethora of interesting gifts which includes none other than Claudio Picasso's, aka CP1, "Miami" tee. Pick one up and don’t even wait until you get home. There is no better way to enjoy this botanical treasure than while wearing a Miami-inspired Noble Truth shirt of a hibiscus flower. Trust us on this one.

Garden of Green

April 24, 2009
Noble Truth is proud to announce its participation in the first annual Style Miami which will be held on Saturday May 2nd (noon-6pm) in the lush landscape of Miami's Upper East Side Garden (7244 Biscayne Boulevard). Brought to you by local green girls Becky Evans and Barbara Alfonzo, aka B² Events, Style Miami will feature various sustainable companies and local designers including our own Claudio Picasso whose Miami-inspired artwork beautifies this blog and one of the tees in our collection. Come check out the entire line and enjoy the green goodies of other vendors including Green Veranda's handbags made of reycled newspaper. Did we mention that other perks include delicious treats by grill master Jason Hedges and even mini golf? So mark your calendars and meet us May 2nd at the Garden.

Imagine that!
Imagine

March 23, 2009
Ask and you shall receive. Just last month we were blogging about our search for retail placement and now we are proud to announce that our entire first collection is available at Imagine. Located at the Shops at Midtown Miami (3252 NE 1st Street #108), our favorite new store features unique items that are both artsy and eco - is there anything better? You'll find everything from handbags made of recycled newspaper and wallets made of recyled ties, to sweet-smelling soy candles and, of course, our fabulous bamboo tees. Sorry we're biased. Point is, Miami locals and visitors now have a new must-stop shop. Imagine that.

Dirty little secret
Clean Coal

February 23, 2009
We shamefully admit that it's been a month since our last blog. In our defense, we at Noble Truth have been busy on the hunt for some retail placement. We'll announce shortly where you can feel the deliciousness of our bamboo tees live and in person. So until then, new topic: Green Coating. That's the obnoxious practice by some companies that pretend to be green or eco to generate sales or interest. We at Noble Truth are very proud to be green on the inside and out. Eco inks, sustainble fabric, and a percentage of proceeds to green organizations means there's no coating here. But you know where this is plenty? In the coal industy. Enjoy this little ode to green coating from our favorite director duo, the Coen Brothers.

Change has arrived
Change

January 20, 2009
It's official - Barrack Obama is our new president! Regardless of your political affiliation, if you consider yourself a friend of the environment, there's reason to celebrate. Some of the highlights of the Administration's New Energy Plan includes putting 1 million plug-in hybrids on the road by 2015; ensuring that 10% of our electricity comes from renewable sources by 2012; and establishing a national low carbon fuel standard. "Lowlights" of the previous drilling-obsessed Administration ranged from weakening the Clear Air Act to blocking vehicle standards.  A change was truly in order. Hey, and speaking of change, how about an upgrade of your tee selection? (Yes, that was a shameless Noble Truth plug). New year, new administration, new fashion. Change has indeed never felt better.

One Love
One Love

January 12, 2009
This year couldn't be off to a better start with the inauguration of Barrack Obama in only 8 days. In celebration of this new era of change and diversity, we at Noble Truth think it appropriate to, well, celebrate. For those of you that make up our South Florida following, we'd like to invite you to "One Love" on Sunday, January 18th at the Voyage rooftop (66 SW 6th Street in Downtown Miami) presented by Lynn Bove. The event promises to take you on a musical journey featuring the soulful and deep house sounds of DJs David Solero, Jody McDonald and Miss M. Come feel the love with us.

New Year, New Goals

January 5, 2009
Welcome to the first Monday of a brand smacking new year. Hopefully you have all respectfully bid adieu to 2008. If you didn't get going on your new year's resolutions - no worries. It is tough to get started with the first official day of the year landing on a Thursday and all. Come on! It's just so close to the weekend and we all know that resolutions and weekends go together like a martini and daycare. So, we here at Noble Truth simply want to say that we hope you enjoyed your weekend and that technically the procrastination ends today. That's right, you've had your weekend fun. So, whether it's personal like getting back to the gym or eco like recycling old electronics (www.computertakeback.com) - upward and onward nobletruthers!

Why Bamboo?
bamboo

December 22, 2008
It's a question we are frequently asked and one that is a pleasure to answer. The bigger question to ask of course is what is there not to love about bamboo? For starters it's beyond soft even being referred to in some green circles as eco-cashmere. After you wear this fabric, it's hard to go back to 100% cotton! Bamboo clothing is also naturally antibacterial and hypoallergenic, plus it is quick to absorb moisture keeping you nice and dry. So those are the perks regarding the clothing but what about the plant itself? Glad you asked. The earth-loving news continues with the fact that bamboo grows very quickly with very little water and releases more oxygen into the atmosphere than trees do. Did we already mention how amazingly soft it is? Sorry, we're a little bamboo obsessed here at Noble Truth.

The countdown begins!

December 15, 2008
There are ten days left until Christmas. That’s great news if you’re the type to make a list, neatly check things off and have time to spare to volunteer at a soup kitchen (who are you people?). For the rest of us, there’s that overwhelming sound of a giant clock ticking in our head. Holiday shopping must get done and fortunately we’re here to help. It’s not too late to check out our collection of cool, sustainable bamboo tees designed by a variety of even cooler artists (check them all out under our artists tab). Great design, super soft fabric, and general earth-loving vibe - what’s there not to love? So shop away fellow procrastinators. We're here to help!

Monday Morning Blues

December 8, 2008
After months of planning for “Miami Art in Action”, our official launch party has come and gone. And what a launch party it was! For those of you who attended, first and foremost – thank you for your support. The live art show courtesy of Miami-based visual artists Krave, CP1 and special guest Lebo had the crowd anticipating the end result of each paint stroke. Of course watching artists doing their thing while the turntables were being turned upside down by the likes of DJ Vida, DJ Cobra Krames and special guest Lady Miss Kier of Deee-lite only added to the festivities.

So what’s next?... Hmmm good question.
We are already planning a series of events that continue marrying three things we dig – art, music and, of course, fashion. We will continue to seek out artists and create limited edition designs on a sustainable canvas.

The TRUE movement has only just begun.

And you are?

December 1, 2008
What happens when a European football loving Mahayana Buddhist and green minded Aquarian come together? Noble Truth! Well, really there's more to it than that... add an affinity for all things related to the arts and an eye for funky fashion and then you really get Noble Truth.

Living in Miami Beach, FL affords you a great look at the diversity that lies within this world, but Noble Truth will extend beyond its backyard. We're tapping into all communities and trying to partner up with great artists who speak their truth--whatever medium, and offer their fans, other art lovers, even fashionistas and trend setters the opportunity to wear one of a kind pieces.

Our commitment is to create visibility platforms for artists through our apparel and events and offer the public a unique product that values sustainability and is made right here in the US. As we said, we're just here doing our thing, and we look forward to all the different artists that will inspire our collections. We feel if we put out the right energy and do right by the artists, you and the environment, it's got to add up to something positive for us all. That's our truth. TRUE.
